How can I join the trial?
Unfortunately the project has closed to new partners.
Can I discharge my personal vehicle at a workplace site for profit?
Technically yes - discharging windows are scheduled by the site partner based on their requirements. If your interest in discharging aligns with the sites power needs, they may consider allowing you to discharge a personal vehicle. Park & Recharge cannot help arrange this, you would need to discuss with the teams on site responsible.
Will the charger drain my battery?
Not unintentionally. A charging socket will only enter discharge mode when all of the below criteria are met;
- The vehicle is owned and/or managed in some capacity by the site.
- The vehicle is AC Bidirectional compatible
- The sites specified discharge requirements are met.
It is possible for one socket to charge, whilst the other is charging.
In a worse case scenario, your charging rate may be slowed if there is strain on the site power supply.
Why can't I find the charger on the Park & Recharge App?
It is likely that the charger you are trying to use is fleet only and therefore will not be shown on our app. We apologies for this inconvenience - if you need to find a charger in the area that is available to use, the Park & Recharge app will show you chargers we operate in the local area that have been made available to public users.
