Starting a charge session

1. Swipe your RFID card in front of the RFID reader (indicated by the image below) Or select the charger in the app and press "start charge" on the desired socket (Please note private chargers may be RFID only)

2. Plug the cable into your electric vehicle

3. Listen for a 'clunk' noise - this is the sound of the locking pin securing the cable so it cannot be unplugged. Power will start flowing to or from the vehicle after this point, depending on charging/discharging schedules, vehicle preference and compatibility.

4. To end the charge session, either swipe your RFID card in the same location described in step 1 or follow the steps below to end from the app.

Ending a charge from the app

1. Go to the 'Charge' page

2. Click on the lightning bolt

3. Click 'End Charge'

Alternative method to end a charge

1. Follow the vehicle manufacturers' process to unlock the charging cable from the vehicle (typically "unlock" button via key fob).

2. Remove the charging cable from the vehicle.

Discharging

Please note that discharging is restricted to project partner vehicles and automatically controlled to match their optimisation  schedules. As the discharge schedule is managed by the site partner, there is no means for a driver to manually start a discharging session.

Some vehicles require the discharge mode to be activated before the charger is connected. Each vehicle has a slightly different process for this, so please consult your vehicles user manual for more guidance.
