Using the eNovates wall mounted V2G charge point

Created by Park and Recharge Recharge Support Team, Modified on Fri, 10 May at 4:55 PM by Park and Recharge Support

The eNovates wall mounted V2G chargepoint is RFID card activated, you need to have an authorised card to commence a charge cycle on these units.

The RFID Card reader is in the upper right corner, you need to swipe your card in the top right corner.

The blue gun is the ChaDeMo standard for charge point-to-vehicle connection. The vehicle you want to charge will need to have the corresponding socket.

Typical vehicles with this connector are the Nissan Leaf, the Nissan eNV200 van and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

Not all models of these cars support V2G (the discharge of car battery back to the grid), typically vehicles from 2016 onwards support V2G mode but you may need to check with a member of the project team.

In the event of an issue or cause for concern pressing the Emergency-Stop button at the bottom of the chargepoint will end the charge/discharge cycle and unlock the gun from the car. The charge point will also alert the support team for the project by sending a message to the back office that monitoring the charge point operation.

If there is no safety issue and the Emergency Stop has been pressed, the button is twisted clockwise to release and reset the unit.
