Park & Recharge - Your Quick Guide to Easy EV Charging!

Welcome to Park & Recharge! This guide will help you get started with the Park & Recharge EV Charging App–

To create an account on the Park & Recharge app:

1. Download the App: First, download the ‘Park & Recharge’ app from either the App Store (for iOS devices) or the Google Play Store (for Android devices) Or on our webapp (parkrecharge.app).
2. Sign Up/Register: Tap ‘Sign up and Register’, or if you are already on the charge map. Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner of the map to "Sign in or Sign Up."
3. Enter Your Details: You will be asked to provide some personal information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and a password.
4. Payment information: To add credit to your account, go to your account details where you'll find the "Add Credit" option. From there, you can pick an amount (£5, £10, £20, or £50) and choose to pay with PayPal or a debit/credit card.

1. Finding a Charge point:

• Scan QR code or open the App: Launch the Park & Recharge app on your smartphone or access it through the web app https://parkrecharge.app/
• View the Map: The app will display a map showing nearby Park & Recharge chargers.
• Browse chargers: Scroll the map or use the search bar to find specific locations.

2. Starting a Charge:

• Connect Your Vehicle: Plug the appropriate charging cable into your EV and the charger.
• Initiate Charging via the App: Choose the charger you'd like to use, either tap on a charger within the app or enter the charger's unique ID then select your desired socket by clicking on it and finally tap "Start Charging."

3. Stop Charging: To end your charging session: 

• Tap the "Stop Charging" button in the app.
• Wait for confirmation that the session has ended.
• Unplug the charging cable from your vehicle.
• Alternatively, you can end the charging event without using the app by double pressing the unlock button on your car keys. This will unlock the cable from your car, shortly after the cable has been removed from your car, the charger will also release the cable.
